Black Grit - Bucket
Couldn't load collection availability
Black Grit is a specialist aggregate used to replicate the distinctive dark inclusions often found in historic mortars. Added to lime mortars and traditional mixes, it helps achieve an authentic appearance for conservation, restoration and heritage building projects.
Manufactured from aluminium silicate, a by-product of the smelting process, Black Grit is used to recreate the visual character of original mortars while maintaining compatibility with traditional materials. It is important to note that Black Grit does not colour the mortar itself; instead, it provides the characteristic black inclusions seen in many historic finishes.
