Earthborn Clear Silicate Primer

A clear, water-based primer formulated to stabilise and prime highly absorbent or powdery mineral surfaces, including lime render, stone, pebbledash, plaster, and concrete. Designed specifically for use under Earthborn Silicate Masonry Paint, it forms a durable, breathable base coat that enhances adhesion and promotes a healthier substrate.

Key Features:

• Transparent, water-based base coat for mineral substrates
• Breathable, virtually VOC-free formulation that supports natural moisture exchange
• Stabilises loose or powdery surfaces to improve adhesion of subsequent coatings
• Can be mixed with Earthborn pigments for a decorative colourwash finish
• Guarantees a strong chemical bond with silicate masonry paint for lasting performance

Application & Performance:

• Coverage: Approximately 5–7 m² per litre, depending on the texture and absorbency of the surface
• Touch dry in around 1 hour; wait at least 12 hours before applying subsequent coats
• Use in temperatures above 8 °C, with tools washed in warm water post-use
