Earthborn Silicate Masonry Paint is a highly breathable, durable mineral paint designed for exterior masonry surfaces. Offering excellent weather resistance and a traditional matt finish, it provides a long-lasting alternative to conventional masonry paints and traditional limewash.

Its highly vapour-permeable formulation allows moisture to escape from the substrate, making it particularly suitable for traditional and mineral-based masonry. Available in a range of 48 standard colours, Silicate Masonry Paint combines the practical benefits of a mineral coating with a choice of decorative finishes.

For optimum performance and durability, Silicate Masonry Paint must be applied as part of a system using the appropriate Earthborn primer.

Preparation: Earthborn Silicate Masonry Paint must be used with the appropriate primer:

  • Earthborn Silicate Primer – For bare, absorbent mineral surfaces, creating a permanent, highly breathable chemical bond.

  • Earthborn Bonding Primer – For previously painted or less absorbent surfaces, providing a strong mechanical bond.

Surface Suitability: Not suitable for synthetic resin renders, acrylic plasters, latex paints, plastic, wood, metal, glass or water-repellent surfaces. Rising damp and salt contamination must be addressed before application.
