These traditionally handcrafted chestnut shakes are made locally using time-honoured methods, offering a naturally rustic and weather-resistant finish for roofing or cladding. Each bundle includes 10 shakes in varied widths, designed to be laid with a 100mm (4") lap for optimal coverage and protection.

Chestnut is naturally high in tannins, giving it excellent resistance to rot and decay – ideal for long-lasting exterior applications. For best results, we recommend pre-drilling before fixing.
