Saint Astier EcoMortar Base - 020

ECOMORTAR® Base is a pre-blended, dry mix mortar crafted specifically as a bedding or base coat for external lime renders. Made with pure Saint-Astier® natural hydraulic lime, fine sand, and carefully selected additives, it offers exceptional compatibility with heritage masonry and breathable building systems.

• Cement-free: Formulated without cement, ensuring full compatibility with lime-based restoration techniques
• Vapour permeable: Allows moisture in walls to escape naturally, reducing risk of trapped moisture and damp-related decay
• Designed for traditional masonry: Ideal for historic buildings and lime-based render systems
• Easy to mix and apply: Simple preparation and manual or machine application make it contractor-friendly
• Proven performance:
• Dry density: ~1,400 kg/m³
• Compressive strength: ~1.2 MPa (7 days), ~1.9 MPa (28 days), ~3.6 MPa (90 days)
• Elastic modulus: ~5,000 MPa
• Vapour permeability: ~0.85 g/(m²·h·mm Hg)
• Capillary absorption: 1–2 g/(m²·min⁰·⁵)
